Back to medieval - Alexander McQueen fall 2010

Sara Burton, the right hand of Alexander McQueen finished the collection that had been 80 percent finished at the time of his death.
I liked the extravagance of the 16 outfits and how he tried to make it handcrafted and return back to the things that have been lost in making fashion nowadays.
As you usual I saw the dark, mysterious side in the collection but on the other hand noticed the light and beauty.

In long dresses I thought he emphasized simplicity and calm concentrating on amazing designs of the fabric with religious iconography while keeping something that exists in his previous collections.
